The event will be open Friday, November 11 from 9am to 8pm and Saturday, November 12 from 9am-2pm. The event will be providing free wagon rides from the cook-off to the Arizona Railway Museum. The rides will only be from 11an-2pm on both days. | ||||

| November 7, 2015 | Chuck Wagon Cook-off | The 6th annual Chuck Wag-on Cook Off will be held November 7, 2015 in Tumbleweed Park. As we have in the past, the Museum will be open one hour earlier for this event. Please note that the event will NOT be held on Sunday so we will only be open an extra hour on Saturday. The City will provide a hay wagon ride from the event to the Museum and back again. Those coming from the event will be given special tickets for free admission to the Museum. | ||||
| May 9, 2015 | National Train Day | The Arizona Railway Museum will be participating in National Train Day event. The museum will be open extended hours (10am-4pm). We anticipate having two strings of passenger cars open for display. | ||||

| November 8-9, 2014 | Chuck Wagon Cook-Off | The City of Chandler is holding their annual Chuck Wagon Cook-Off in Tumbleweed park. The museum will be open extended hours (11am-4pm) on November 8-9, 2014. A wagon ride will be provided to transport visitors to/from the event to our museum. | ||||

Portland, Maine Excursion (operated by Cruising by Rail, Ltd) |
Cruising by Rail is planning to have cars join the AAPRCO special train to
Portland Maine for the 37th annual convention of the American
Association of Private Railcar Owners. The association will be operating a
special train to the convention which will offer some spectacular
opportunities to ride over rails that are not served by the current Amtrak
system. Many special events will be planned in conjunction with the
convention.
This trip will use ARM equipment (Vista Canyon) leased by CBR. |

St. Patrick's Day Dinner in the Diner |
Wear your green, bring your friends and neighbors to join in the St. Patrick’s Day spirit for a fund raiser “Dinner in the Diner”. Monday evening March 17, 2014 the Arizona Railway Museum will be our Irish hideaway. A home style corned beef dinner with appetizers, bread and dessert will be served in our 1949 Union Pacific dining car. The meal includes a beverage (coffee, iced tea, water); appetizers will be served in the Regal Phoenix lounge car and Plaza Taos lounge. This fund raiser is limited to members of the museum and their guests but there is limited seating. |

The Maricopa County Tax Assessor's Office renovated the Santa Fe Freight House in downtown Phoenix, Arizona. Railroad memorabilia from the ARM collection is on loan and publicly displayed throughout the interior. |

| May 29, 2011 | ARM Closing for Summer | The ARM officially closes for the Summer. Due to the summer heat (and low visitor volume) the ARM officially closes, but FEAR NOT! The ARM Volunteers continue working throughout the summer. Typically, the crews start early Saturday mornings trying to beat the heat. There is no guarantee anyone will be working, but visitors are welcome to visit and walk through the display yard. The Gift Shop, Artifact Building, and Display Equipment will be CLOSED. | ||||

The fence panels are built and painted. We will be digging holes,
welding, aligning, touch up painting, mixing concrete and doing a lot of
socializing. So if your staying in town spend the morning with us.
